Some of the best tradespeople we knew were invisible online — brilliant at the actual job, and getting beaten to the work by worse trades with better websites.
Meanwhile they were being bled dry. Renting leads off Checkatrade that got sold to five other lads. Paying for "SEO" they could never see. Handing money to agencies who built a pretty site, took the cheque, and vanished.
